Valentine Inspiration from Scotland's National Bard

It's no secret that Robert Burns had a way with the ladies. Scotland's national Bard not only loved his home of the Scottish Highlands but there is much evidence in his poetry and songs that he was moved by the love of women in his life.

Rabbie Burn's only lived to the tender age of 37 but in his short life he managed to father around 13 children between 4 different women. While his philandering lifestyle was immoral even for his time, there is proof in his poetry that each relationship meant something special to Burns and he felt great love for each of the women he encountered in his 37 years.
